Every hero on the Helpi platform has passed a 13-point verification check, including verified identity, experience, and qualifications, and all Heroes carry public liability insurance. We ask all our customers to rate their Hero, and you can see this rating when a Hero is matched with your job. Don’t fancy that Hero? Fine, you can always request another Hero.

What happens if I'm not happy with the work?

We have a satisfaction promise — if the work isn't up to standard, we'll work with you and hero to ensure you are satisfied. You don't pay your hero until you confirm the job is complete, so you're always in control.

What if the job takes longer than expected?

Your hero will agree on the scope and price with you before starting. Helpi suggests common pricing for common jobs, but in some instances, what you need might be non-standard, and your hero can explain why. In instances where you book a hero hourly and you need more hours, your hero should confirm this with you for approval. 

Do you offer insurance on the Hero’s work?

Helpi does not offer insurance as we act as a marketplace matching customers with tradespeople and as such do not cover the end service by the tradesperson. The customer should check this with the tradesperson directly when matched and have the opportunity to re-publish their work.

Is the price shown when booking the final price?

The final price may change depending on if the job you ask the Hero to do is different to the one you purchased – so if the Hero stays longer than you originally booked or the job is significantly different. The Hero should explain any additional charges to you before they start or finish. You need to approve the price increase.

 

Are Heroes background-checked?

Yes. We conduct identity verification, qualification checks where possible and may conduct background checks depending on the service category.

Can I cancel my booking?

Yes, you can cancel a booking in the app before a Hero accepts. If a Hero has already accepted, cancellation fees may apply depending on timing.

Is my payment secure?

Yes. Payments are handled through secure third-party processors. Your payment is held until the service is completed.
